Tumblr is good for many things, but what we’re here for most is connecting with others. We’ve come together to do many things, but tonight I want to write about a girl named Sashi.

Sashi (Nicole) is a 24 year old girl from California. Ever since she was a kid, she has suffered from chronic pain in her abdomen. After years of being misdiagnosed by doctors, visits to the ER, and pain so unbearable she had to quit her job, Sashi has been diagnosed with a severe case of Endometriosis, which requires surgery. Currently, her ovaries are covered in tumors. The tumors themselves are so large, she can not only feel them, but she is currently unable to eat because there is literally no space for her other organs to process food anymore. She is 24 years old and she is dying.

Today, she was denied yet again by Medi-Cal. She has also been denied by the government to receive disability benefits. The surgery that will save her life costs thousands of dollars. Dollars she does not have.

With help from donations and getting the word out, we can save her. I’m asking you, all of you, to help.

If you can donate money, even the smallest bit, we can save this young girl’s life. If you cannot, please reblog this, Tweet this, call your grandma, and get the word out.

But the thing is, we tried. It’s better that we at least made an effort, rather than left it as one of those “oh this would have been cool” ideas, right?
